How to Install Microsoft Exchange Server 2003

Welcome to Windows Tutorial. Today, we’re going to look at installing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.

Before we get started, we have to look at system requirements for Exchange Server. So, as you can see here, processor minimum of 133mhz, operating system minimum is Windows Server 2000, minimum RAM you can have is 256, hard drive space is 500 exchange and 200 on the system drive. Display is VGA resolution or higher, input device is Microsoft mouse or compatible and the drive is mostly formatted in NTFS.

Start the installation. Make sure you got disk in the drive, that’s My Computer, right click on the disk, the Explore, going to Setup, I486. Scroll down to your SETUP.EXE and double click. When you see this window, click “Don’t show this message again” and click Continue. Click Next. Accept the License Agreement. Choose the installation you want and click Next. Select Create a new exchange organization and click Next. Type in your organization and click Next. Accept the next License Agreement and click Next. Now, click Next and now Exchange will start to install. When you see a message like this, click Ok. Now it’s finished. You can just click Finish and now we start.

Now, the computer is ready. You can log back in again.

Okay. That’s it for this tutorial. Next time we’ll be looking at creating mailboxes for users. And after that, we’ll be looking at on how to configure clients to access the Exchange Server using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. Thanks for watching. Look out for more coming soon.
